THE TOURNAMENT REGULATIONS have been updated – both with the implementation of the proposals that were debated at the Board of Representatives meeting, and with editorial improvements and clarifications.
The most important changes are mentioned here – and will be explained in more detail at the meeting on April 23. It is recommended that you all study the paragraphs in more detail.
§ 7.5 is an addition, which specifies that communication on the field between the teams and the referees must take place in Danish or English.
§ 8 regarding Absence.
Here, §8.3.1 clarifies the conditions for promotion – and §8.3.2 clarifies possible relegation to non-national ranks if a team cancels more than 2 times (without subsequently ensuring that the matches are carried out).
§ 8.6 - has been reformulated, expanded and adapted cf. debate at the board of representatives meeting.
§ 10.1.C - "Rematches" in lower ranks are deleted, see debate at the board of representatives meeting. However, still possible in the Youth ranks.

§ 26.1.2 regarding T20: Clarification of the possibility for the umpires to reduce the number of overs before the start of the match, if the weather forecast makes it likely that the match cannot be played with a full number of overs for both teams.
§ 26.5 Rules for the use of music during T20 matches.
§ 30.1 Here it is clarified that Loan Players cannot be used at all in the T20 tournament.
§ 35 - Rules of the Game
LAW 4 - Match Balls - update and clarification of options for the use of balls.
§ 35.3.2 Clarification that all Youth Players MUST use a helmet when using a hard ball. This also applies to Youth Keepers regardless of their position behind the wicket.
PART IV - INDOOR CRICKET REGULATIONS have now been added as an official part of the complete set of regulations.
REGARDING "Slow-Over-rate" and possible penalty points in the Ordinary Tournament:
Before the start of last season we announced an addition to § 26.1.1 - as the paragraph in the paragraph was not included.
UNFORTUNATELY the same has happened in this year's edition of "Cricket 2025" 🙁 We regret - that the pitcher (not the one from Svanholm!) has been at play again this year, so the regulations are not fully updated.
THEREFORE HEREBY ADDITION TO § 26.1.1
The following addition to §20.1 of the Tournament Regulations is hereby announced as of today's date to §26.1.1 regarding the Ordinary Tournament:
In the nationwide ranks, the settlement time is calculated to 3 hours and 20 minutes for a half, i.e. 4 min. per over. If the fielding team does not complete all overs within the specified time, the half shall continue until the stipulated number of overs has been completed, with a maximum of 4 fielders outside the circle, while the batting team shall be awarded 6 points for each over not completed within the completion time. An over that has been started counts as a completed over. This rule applies to both teams' halves.
The umpires shall add lost playing time for incidents that are not the fault of the fielding team (e.g. loss of ball, injured player). Note that drink breaks are part of the playing time.
If the number of overs is reduced in a match, a new end time for the completion of the overs shall be set. The captains of both teams shall be informed by the umpires.
When the time for awarding penalty points is reached, the umpires shall inform the scoreboard before play continues, so that the number of penalty points at that time shall be added to the batting team.
Explanation: The rule has previously been in the regulations (in various versions). The aim is to encourage teams to complete their overs within the stipulated time, so that the pace of the match is not unnecessarily dragged out. A similar rule can be found in the T20 tournament, where it has been used several times in recent years. The rule is “coordinated” between the two formats, so that umpires, captains and players can handle it most easily (i.e. the same number of penalty points per missed over and 1 less player outside the line).
Finally, we would like to remind you that WALKIE-TALKIES must be used in communication between umpires and the accountant - and that these must be available from the club to the umpires.
